ACS Grout GP is a versaile, non-shrink cement based grout. It is supplied as aready to use powder, which is made up of a blend of Portland cement, pozzolanic material, graded fillers and chemical additives.
Uses
ACS Grout GP can be used for general purpose grouting where it is necessary to eliminate shrinkage. It is ideal for void filling, packing, base plate supports and anchoring.
Plastic Density
Approximately 2100kg / m3 depending on consistency used.
Application Instructions
Preparation
The foundations or void to be filled should be clean, well roughened and pre-saturated with water. Eliminate external sources of vibration or movement until grout hardens.
Mixing
Depending on the quantities required, use either a paddle mixer or a heavy-duty variable speed electric drill (Festo grout mixer).
Pour the required water content into the appropriate mixing vessel (minimum 25 litre capacity) and slowly add the contents of ACS Grout GP bag. Mix for approximately 5 minutes or until lump free.
Water Content
The actual amount of water will depend on the desired consistency required for the job. The content of the water required will vary depending on the ambient temperature when the job is being carried out. For any given consistency more water will be required at high temperatures and less at low temperatures.
To assist with water content, the following guide can be used for 20 kg of grout mixed at 20°C (details shown on downloadble TDS).
Note: Care should be taken when mixing water content that the amount used will not cause the mixed grout to bleed excessvely or segregate.
Placement
ACS Grout GP should be placed as soon as possible after mixing (within 20 minutes at 23°C). When being used in under-plate applications it is essential to maintain a continuous grout flow.
Curing
On completion of the grouting process, areas that are exposed should be thoroughly cured.
Using a curing compound or the continuous application of water for a period of 7 days will provide the best results.
Estimating Data
A 20kg bag of ACS Grout GP when mixed with 3 litres of water will yield approximately 10 litres (0.010m3).
Storage
ACS Grout GP will keep for up to 12 months if kept in a dry store and the bags remain sealed. High temperature and high humidity conditions may reduce the storage life of the product.
Health and Safety
During use, avoid inhalation of dust and contact with the skin and eyes. Wear suitable clothing, gloves, eye protection and respiratory protective equipment.
If contact with the skin occurs, thoroughly clean the area with plenty of fresh water and soap. In case of contact with the eyes rinse with plenty of fresh water and seek medical advice.
If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately – do not induce vomiting.
