ACS Bio Agi Shield is an advanced action formula of speciality non-hazardous oils and vegetable oil derivatives and is designed specifically for use in releasing concrete casts from metallic surfaces and moulds.
Uses
ACS Bio Agi Shield is ideal for use in coating concrete mixers, pumps and other equipment used in concrete production.
ACS Bio Agi Shield will shield the equipment from adhesion of wet mixed concrete, grout or other cementitious products and also halt the advance of rust developing on exposed steel surfaces.
ACS Bio Agi Shield is also recommended for use in the Precast and Concrete Tile manufacturing industries.
Its low voc formula also makes it suitable for use in other industries where cement based products is manufactured.
Mixing and Application
Wet Mix and Precast Concrete Manufacture
Apply ACS Bio Agi Shield undiluted by spray, brush or mop.
Apply at a rate of 50-100m. / L or as little as possible whilst ensuring a thorough and even coverage over the entire working surface of the mould. This should provide optimum performance and minimize the potential for sticking, uneven release and build up. Excess material may compromise performance so remove with a mop or soft cloth.
If applying by hand sprayer, it should have a cap type filling device to allow easy filling without the possibility of dust contamination. It should also be fitted with a suitably sized flat fan nozzle and appropriate tip strainer.
A superior finish may be attained by applying with a damp clean soft flannel cloth.
CAUTION: Avoid use on rubber or latex fitting or moulds as ACS Bio Agi Shield can penetrate these material and cause shape distortion. Viton is generally recommended for seals and fittings.
Concrete Tile Manufacturer
Apply ACS Bio Agi Shield at 3-5g / mould. Specialist advice on application equipment may be required. Contact ACS for further details.
Storage
ACS Bio Agi Shield can be stored for at least 1 year when stored indoors at temperatures below 40° C and in closed original containers.
Avoid exposure to air for prolonged periods.
Product may thicken or solidify if cooled below 0°C.
Do not allow water to contaminate product.
Bulk Storage vessels made of stainless steel, fibreglass, polypropylene or polyethylene are preferred. It is strongly recommended to thoroughly clean old mild steel tanks before storage as ACS Bio Agi Shield may cause rust and other old deposits to be released resulting in contamination. Long term storage in mild steel tanks may result in product discolouration and other degradation.
Health and Safety
During use, avoid inhalation of dust and contact with the skin and eyes. Wear suitable clothing, gloves, eye protection and respiratory protective equipment.
If contact with the skin occurs, thoroughly clean the area with plenty of fresh water and soap. In case of contact with the eyes rinse with plenty of fresh water and seek medical advice.
If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately – do not induce vomiting.
