ACS Minespeed F1 is a high quality, alkali free, Australian made solution type liquid accelerator for shotcrete systems.
Uses
ACS Minespeed F1 is suitable for both wet and dry applications and has been specifically designed for securing and stabilising rock and slopes experienced in mines, tunnel and subway construction and developments.
ACS Minespeed F1 can also be used for acceleration of cementitious grouts.
Dose Rate
The dose rate of ACS Minespeed F1 will vary depending on application temperature conditions, the quality of cement used, required thickness, and target early strength development and setting time.
In general, approximately 3 – 10% by weight of cement is recommended. On-site trial applications of ACS Minespeed F1 must be undertaken to determine the most appropriate ratio.
Substrate Preparation
Ensure the substrate is clean and free from loose material. For optimum bonding, dampen the surface with high pressure water, prior to application.
Application
ACS Minespeed F1 should be applied using a recommended accelerator dosing unit.
We recommend combining the use of the ACS range of super plasticisers to efficiently assist in lowering water content and to achieve a cohesive and pumpable mix.
Cleaning
Ensure the dosing pump, hoses and other components are thoroughly cleaned with water both before and after use.
Storage
When stored in original container, in temperatures between 5ºC and 30ºC, ACS Minespeed F1 will keep for up to 12 months. Re-circulate or re-mix any stored solution prior to re-using.
Please contact your ACS Representative prior to using the product, if it has been stored for more than six months.
Note: Due to its acidic nature, do not store ACS Minespeed F1 in steel or aluminium containers.
Health and Safety
During use, avoid inhalation of dust and contact with the skin and eyes. Wear suitable clothing, gloves, eye protection and respiratory protective equipment.
If contact with the skin occurs, thoroughly clean the area with plenty of fresh water and soap. In case of contact with the eyes rinse with plenty of fresh water and seek medical advice.
If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately – do not induce vomiting.
For further information consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and read the product label carefully before use.
