ACS Pitcrete WR 60 is a pre-packaged gypsum based sprayable grout ventilation control system, which, when compared to standard gypsum based products in the market, displays superior resistance to water absorption. The product is predominantly designed for use within, but not restricted to, mining applications.

A single application product, ACS Pitcrete WR 60 provides superior strength characteristics, premium water resistance qualities and a reduction in application time and costs.

It is particularly suitable for underground ventilation control devices and sealing applications. Because of its premium water resistance qualities, a waterproofing membrane is usually not required prior to application.

Recommended Uses

ACS Pitcrete WR 60 is typically used in underground mining applications for ventilation sealing, where there is a higher presence of water therefore requiring a product with higher than normal water resistance to moisture absorption.

Technical Properties

Typical properties when mixed with the appropriate amount of potable water and tested at 25ºC and 50% RH.

Application

The surface to be sprayed should be prepared by removing all unsound materials and debris.

ACS Pitcrete WR 60 can be applied in depths of 10 – 200mm in one pass depending on the spraying method used, as well as substrate and weather conditions.

ACS Pitcrete WR 60 may be applied over an extended time of two different shifts by cold bonding to the previous layer.

Cleaning

All tools should be rinsed with water immediately after use to remove all traces of ACS Pitcrete WR 60.

Storage

The product will keep indefinitely if kept dry and stored in its original condition.

The shelf life of the product may be reduced if subjected to moisture, high temperatures and high humidity.

Health and Safety

During use, avoid inhalation of dust and contact with the skin and eyes. Wear suitable clothing, gloves, eye protection and respiratory protective equipment.

If contact with the skin occurs, thoroughly clean the area with plenty of fresh water and soap. In case of contact with the eyes rinse with plenty of fresh water and seek medical advice.

If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately – do not induce vomiting.
